Yokohama Reggae Sai(“Sai”means“Festival”or“ Bash” is an event started by the World Champion Sound‘Mighty Crown’in 1995. The first event was kept at a small club, which held a capacity of 150 people. In 2006, Mighty Crown brought the event to Yokohama Stadium and attracted an audience of 35000 people. The event created a big impact throughout the country that the pre-sold tickets were sold out in less than an hour. Since then, Yokohama Reggae Sai is known to be the biggest reggae concert in Japan. The year 2009 marks the 15th anniversary of the 1995 starting Of "Yokohama Reggae Bash", And the 150th anniversary of the 1859 opening of the Port of Yokohama.
